When a Petal Falls
Explore this exclusive preview of a journey through personal transformation and resilience. These opening reflections set the stage for a narrative centered on finding light within life's most challenging transitions.

It wasn’t until my relationship with Mack that my perspective began to shift.
He helped me see something I had never allowed myself to consider. My dad, and both of my parents, carried their own stories, their own wounds, and their own upbringings, which shaped the way they loved, or the ways they did not yet know how to love.
Mack’s story comes later in the book. However, he encouraged me to reach out to my father. Not to reopen old wounds or relive the pain, but to finally find a sense of closure. He helped me understand that it was not about going backwards. It was about moving forward.
He told me, “You can do it. You can call your dad. You do not know his story. He is getting older, and you do not want him to die with this still between you. And you do not want to die holding on to this either.”
He challenged me to face something I had been carrying for more than two decades. Not because he could heal it for me. Not because he could fix the relationship between my father and me. But because sometimes God places someone in your life who says the thing your heart has been avoiding.
And then you must decide what you are going to do with it.
After more than twenty years of silence, was I ready to make the call?
